Nominations for 2008 Loder CupThe Loder Cup, New Zealand’s premier conservation award, was donated in 1926 by Gerald Loder to encourage and honour New Zealanders who work to investigate, promote, retain and cherish NZ’s indigenous flora. The Loder Cup is entrusted to the Minister of Conservation, who appoints the Loder Cup Committee and awards the Cup. The Department of Conservation handles the administration of the award. The Cup is awarded annually to the person, group of people, or organisation which has exceeded all other nominees in furthering the aims and objects of the donor of the Cup. Any person, group of people, or organisation can be nominated for the award by any of the following organisations :
• Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture and any society affiliated hereto; Nominations for the Loder Cup are being sought. Only one nomination can be accepted from each organisation that is entitled to nominate. Nominations close with the Secretary of the Nominations Committee on 31 May each year.
